Today I’ll be sharing my current skincare routine with you! Plus, a very smooth, yummy, amazing DIY moisturiser/lotion recipe, and a refreshing and alkalizing toner recipe! But first, an announcement!…
I’ve realised recently that my Categories are far too broad and vague, and I find it difficult to both categorize my posts, and to create posts that fit into a specific category. Therefore I have decided to make a few changes to my site! As you can see, I’ve made the categories much more specific to make it easier for me to create good content for you, and to make it easier for you to navigate my site. And I will continue to change and adjust them as I create new and varying content. So please, enjoy the slight change in my layout; I just thought I’d let you all know to avoid confusion 😉 Read More »
I’m shocked and slightly saddened at how long it’s been since I’ve uploaded any posts…! But frankly, I just haven’t had the time. It’s not as easy as I’d like it to be to finish school, work on my own personal wellbeing, keep good relationships, and maintain a blog. But! I am certainly willing to try…
There’s so much I have to tell you!!! So pleased stay tuned as I bore you with my many life updates and ramblings… Just kidding, it is very very exciting, and I am sure you will be on the edge of your seat the entire time. ❤ Read More »
As you may have been aware, I’ve been away for a little more than “a few weeks” as my last post said…These past few months have been some of the most challenging times I have experienced, and I am only now, in the past few weeks, managing to get back on track with my life. This has involved me making my sleeping patterns better again (no more 6:30am wake-ups! 6:00 feels like a sleep-in these days…), eating a lot better, drinking more water, doing a bit of exercise, and taking steps to make my mind, body, and spirit happy and healthy. It’s a never ending process and learning experience, but I do feel as if I am making some headway, so I thought, seen as I have a teensy bit of spare time I might try and make another blog post!
This week’s topic is HEALTHY AND EASY SNACKS!! Yum!Read More »
I’m sure you were all saddened and distraught when you realised I didn’t share a blog post last week, I am so sorry for neglecting you, my dear children ❤ …
The past week has been intense, and the next 3 weeks will be just as intense. I have exams coming up, as well as some other things going on in my life at the moment, and I’m afraid I’m going to have to hold off on posting anything for at least the next 3 weeks.
Please stay with me, and stay tuned for new posts, I will get back to posting As Soon As Possible. Thank you for your patience and love.
Sleep. We all need it, yet not all of us get it… How much sleep do you get each night? How do you feel when you wake up every morning? Have a little think about your sleeping pattern… Does it feel healthy? Do you feel healthy? If the answer to those questions is a resounding “NO!”, then I think you’d better keep reading so that you can learn how to Harmonize Your Sleep Cycles…!Read More »
Over the past few years I’ve had to get used to cooking dinner for myself because 1.) Why shouldn’t I? Just because I’m under my mum’s roof doesn’t mean she has to cook for me, and 2.) I kind of didn’t have a choice. You see, my mum is a superhero with superhuman strength, I say that because there is no way she could do everything that she does without a superpower… She works two jobs, with only two days off a week, and still manages to find time to go rock climbing because she loves rock climbing and why would she let a silly little thing like a job stop her from doing that?? And she does all this on top of providing for my brother and I…Read More »
I recently stumbled across a Ted Talk by Lauren Singer (which you can see here) in which she discusses living a Zero Waste lifestyle and I was immediately inspired. I began to research as much as I possibly could about living zero waste and decided almost right there and then to adopt this way of living…
By now, you may be thinking ‘Zahra, what on earth is Zero Waste living and why are you yabbering on about it?’
Well, that’s what I’m here to tell you!
Zero Waste living is based on the concept of not creating any waste that could end up in the environment or landfill in order to do your part in the protection and maintenance of our precious earth.Read More »
Over my many… many years of being alive – all 17 of them – I have continuously dealt with the management of my emotions. During the ages of 8 to 14 I didn’t really give my emotions much thought, they were just there, I guess you could say I saw my emotions as something to flail about without any real idea as to what to do with them.
It would be easy to say I was a dramatic teenager; when I felt something I really felt it, I mean it was a full blown Nicholas Sparks novel every time something went wrong. Break-up at 13? DEVASTATION! Small argument with my mum? I HATE MY LIFE! A friend ignored me for 3 whole seconds? WHY ARE MY FRIENDS SO HORRIBLE???? Followed by endless streams of tears… It was a mess… But, 4 years on and I am happy to say that that phase has passed. How? I hear you ask, well let me tell you, friend, it was and is a never-ending journey, but just because I love you all so much I have compiled a list of some of the things I have picked up along the way that have helped me learn to balance, manage, and accept the long list of emotions that I encounter every single day.
Hello! My name is Zahra, and I am super excited to share Energised Living with you!
The idea for this blog has been a long time in the making, after months of trying to decide a name for this glorious thang, and stressing over the content I could provide, and actually writing a few posts, I finally feel confident in sharing this new project with you.
At this point in time I am in my last year of High school, and am preparing myself for the experiences ahead. So I thought this was the prime time to invest in my own and others happiness by sharing the things I know, learning about things that I don’t, and experiencing life in all its glory and sharing with you whatever I learn along the way.
